Astrology and Wine Pairing

So let’s have some fun!
We are charting the heavens to create a personalized cosmic wine flight
with cheese pairings that have been written in the stars just for you.
The number of guests will be limited for this event, so don’t wait to
reserve your spot! Ticket sales will end on October 1st.
When you purchase your tickets on our website, we will require
your birthday, birth time and birth location.
To illuminate your personalized “Big Three” zodiac flight we are welcoming Astrologer and Sommelier, Pamela Fawson and Astrologer/Tarot Reader/Wine Enthusiast Jenn Betty. Together they will guid you with their insight of these celestial pairings, answering any questions you might have about the tasting notes that fashion your astrological chart.
Gratuity only tarot readings will be available throughout the event,
as well as a limited dinner menu for an additional purchase.
There will be 3 seatings, 5pm—5:30pm—and 6pm
Once you have bought your ticket we will contact you for preferred arrival time.
Wine Dinner with Faith Armstrong
Join Devine Cheese and Wine and Faith Armstrong for our first winemaker dinner of the year. Faith will be pouring some of her favorites along side a 5-course tasting menu on August 3rd at 5:00pm $135 pp not including tax and gratuity.

Sommelier Wine Dinner Series with Alyssa Twelker
Alyssa is a self proclaimed wine nerd who has been a fixture of the Santa Cruz wine scene for over a decade.
After receiving her sommelier certificate at the age of 21, she landed at Soif in Downtown Santa Cruz, where she ruled over their eclectic wine shop
for several years before taking on the role as Wine Director for both Soif and Soif's sister restaurant, La Posta. Her desire to learn more about wine production led her to a harvest internship in the Wachau, Austria, before coming home to work with local icons John Locke and Alex Krause of Birichino, and Ian Brand of the I Brand & Family Winery.
She currently works both as the local representative for Farm Wine Imports, a distribution company specializing in natural wines made around the world and as the Wine Director at Mentone Restaurant in Aptos, the newest concept from Michelin starred Chef, David Kinch.

For the next event in our Sommelier Wine Dinner Series, Devine Cheese and Wine welcomes back Thomas Brenner as he guides us through the land of sparkling wine! Each course of the 5 course tasting menu will be paired with exquisite sparklers from around the world.
Tinsel Time Terrarium Workshop with Mac and Cheese Lunch
Get the kids inspired and excited about plants! Enjoy this hands-on workshop where kids (and adults) create their own terrarium in an 4” glass container. Learn about the necessary ingredients and design for a happy and thriving succulent plant environment. All supplies provided!
Included in each ticket is lunch for the kiddos! A kid size mac and cheese (our awesome 5-cheese mac) fruit, and a drink!

Christmas Kokedama Workshop and Sipping Session
‘Koke' refers to moss & 'dama' refers to ball. In Japan, Kokedama is an art piece equivalent to Bonsai. Learn how to create a moss ball with Momstera & will teach you how to care for this little unique moss ball. Come join for a meditative evening and take home a beautiful kokedama inspired by your own creativity w/ a little holiday twist
And did we mention that there will be wine? So come drink wine and dig your hands into some dirt and get creative.

Sommelier Wine Dinner Series featuring Paul Duroussay of Pierreclos Imports
Join Devine Cheese and Wine and Paul Duroussay of Pierreclos Imports for a 5-course dinner featuring a line up of fabulous wines from the Pierreclos book. The Pierreclos ethos matches so closely with Devine’s that this dinner was destined to happen..
Pierreclos Imports was started by Paul Duroussay (from Pierreclos, Burgundy) and Alejandro Brambila (from the Bay Area.)
Their wines come from friends and family in France who work carefully on their wine from field to bottle with complete control over the winemaking process. There are so many small farmer-winemakers making great wine who don’t have the time or opportunity to sell outside of their local market. Because of their personal connections, they’re taking a risk and trusting us with their wines halfway across the world. Their mission is to support these small producers by expanding their market, and to provide you, our friends in California, with a great, artisanal product that you can’t get anywhere else. Because our wines come from close friends and family, the wine we offer is focused regionally. Starting with Paul’s parents, Jean-Luc and Veronique at Domaine Coteaux des Margots in Pierreclos, we are searching for the best wines from our friends in the surrounding region of Macon, in the south of Burgundy.

Celebrate our birthday with us! We survived 2020 and are still going strong. It’s time to get cheesy and party! Come try 25 cheeses, some charcuterie, and great wines — some special edition wines from our private cellar. You won’t leave hungry or thirsty, we promise! We will be keeping it Covid Safe and will adapt to any regulations that change. Wine tasting, glasses and other small bites can be purchased day of. Your cheese and wine experts will be milling around for questions and interaction!
Cheese Tasting Ticket $40 per person—included in your ticket price is access to 25 different cheeses, charcuterie, crackers and pairings and Sunday afternoon music.
Wine tasting, wines by the glass and other small bites menu will be available that day.
In Person Cheese and Wine Pairing Class-’Favorite Things’
During a live class a Formagier will share the basics behind cheese making, flavor development, tasting techniques, cheese making, the milk types, fermentation and preservation for each cheese on the board, these cheeses will all have unique features to guide you towards finding out what your palette gravitates towards.
As hard as it is, we will be picking our top cheeses and wines-our favorites-to share with you for class. Hopefully one of these will make YOUR favorite list!

Sommelier Wine Dinner Series—-featuring Thomas Brenner
Join Devine Cheese and Wine and Sommelier and all around good soul Thomas Brenner for a night of fabulous wine and food. Thomas will pick favorite wines that will be paired with a 5 course dinner as we welcome in the weekend the right way!
All about Thomas…
Thomas Brenner is a sommelier, beverage consultant, wine buyer and wine writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. A native to central Germany, Thomas has lived in Europe, the Washington D.C. area and California. When he is not researching material for his wine writing or working as a sommelier, he enjoys traveling to winegrowing regions near and far.
Mr. Brenner has displayed an interest in geography, history and culture from an early age, setting himself up seamlessly for a career in wine.
He has performed as sommelier in establishments with coveted 1, 2 and 3 star Wine Spectator awards for all levels and types of restaurants. As a wine buyer for a popular hotel fine dining outlet, performing as manager and sommelier at several Michelin-starred restaurants and offering sommelier wine pairing dinners, Thomas constantly adapts to an ever-evolving set of clientele and dining
environments. Thomas currently runs the wine program at the prestigious Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club, where he oversees on-site dining outlets, a retail beverage program and private events.
Thomas enjoys lending his expertise to fundraisers such as Auction Napa Valley, Pebble Beach Food and Wine as well as charity dining events at smaller boutique restaurants and online forums. When he is not actively engaged in wine-related work, he spends his time with his 8 year-old daughter in and around his residence in San Jose, CA and eagerly plans his next trip to distant wine growing regions across the globe.
